Candle Care Guide

Before lighting

• Trim the wick to 5–7 mm before each burn.

• Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and direct sunlight.

• Keep candles at least 10 cm apart when burning more than one.

Wick trimming
Maintaining the correct wick length is essential for clean and efficient candle performance. A wick that is too long will create a larger, hotter flame, which can lead to excessive soot, fast-burning wax and an uneven melt pool. A properly trimmed wick supports a controlled flame, a longer burn time and cleaner air quality within the room.
Before each burn, trim the wick to 5–7 mm. During longer burns, wick length can increase naturally as carbon builds at the tip. If you notice the flame becoming too tall, flickering heavily or producing smoke, simply extinguish the candle, trim the wick again and relight. This ensures a steady, elegant flame and preserves the candle’s intended performance.

Burn times
Burn times vary depending on candle size and immediate room conditions such as airflow, ambient temperature and surface level.

• Travel candles: burn up to 2 hours consecutively.

• Compact candles: burn up to 3 hours consecutively.

• 3-wick candle: burn up to 3 hours consecutively.
  Allowing the wax to melt towards the edges during the first few burns helps encourage a more even melt pool; however, the exact time required will vary depending on surrounding conditions.

During use

• Keep the wick centred and upright; adjust gently while the wax is warm if needed.

• If a candle has been burning for an extended period, the softened wax may allow the wick to shift slightly from its original position. After extinguishing the flame, and while the wax is still warm but safe to handle, check the wick’s placement and gently reposition it back to the centre if required. This supports an even burn and helps maintain the candle’s intended performance.

• Never leave a burning candle unattended or within reach of children or pets.

• Do not move the candle while the wax is liquid.

• Extinguish, allow to cool and trim the wick before relighting.

After use

• To extinguish, use a snuffer or dip the wick briefly into the melted wax, then straighten it.

• Stop using the candle when 5–10 mm of wax remains at the base.

• Once fully cooled, the vessel may be cleaned and reused as desired.

How to Burn Your Candle

Allow the candle to form a full melt pool on the first burn. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures a stronger, more even fragrance throw for the rest of the candle’s life. Depending on candle size and room temperature, this may take 1–3 hours.

Wick Care for a Clean Burn

Trim the wick to around 5mm before lighting. A properly trimmed wick reduces soot, prevents excessive flame height and supports consistent, high-quality performance. If the wick becomes too long during use, extinguish the candle, trim, and relight.

During Use

Burn your candle in moderate sessions. Leaving a candle lit for too long can overheat the wax and cause the wick to shift, which may affect burn quality. After extinguishing, gently recenter the wick while the wax is still warm.

Safety & Placement

Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, fabrics and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep the wax free of matches and debris.

Recycling

Once finished, allow the vessel to cool completely, remove any remaining wax, and recycle or repurpose the glass jar.

Warning: Never leave a candle burning unattended. Burn candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not burn each candle for more than 3 hours. Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles. Do not burn candles on or nearby anything that can catch fi­re. Do not place candles in a draught. Do not place candles near a source of heat.

Place candles in an upright position. Trim wick to about 5mm before lighting. Always snuff out the flame. Do not blow it out. Allow candle wax to harden before lighting again. Keep the wax pool clear of matches and other debris to avoid flaring. Do not move a burning candle. Never use liquid to extinguish.

Beware the container may get hot. May cause allergic skin reaction. In case of allergic skin reaction or irritation get medical advice/ attention. Avoid release to the environment, avoid breathing vapor or dust, contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace.
